Thank you for visiting this site.

If you are in need of support through counseling, then I may be able to help. It is so easy these days to become isolated and to feel alone. At times, we may feel as if the problems we are facing are entirely our own, and that everyone else seems not to be affected by the thoughts and feelings that are troubling us.

The good news is that counseling therapies are known to be effective and help to bring stability to our mental processes, feelings and interactions with others and the world we live in. Noticing how the problem is affecting your life is the first step on the path to recovery. Seeking support to  help resolve the issues is the second step. If you have come this far, then you have already started.

A counseling service is not an advice service. A counselor is someone who is at first willing to listen in an open-minded manner, without judgement. The emotional release that clients experience through being actively listened to, knowing that what is said is confidential, can be an important part of the healing process. The path of mental and emotional healing is one which the client and counselor walk together. As a counselor I will remind you of your strengths and help to bring you to a point at which you can determine the best course of action suited to your individual goals.

My strength areas are in Client Centered counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative Therapy. From my toolkit of modalities we can determine which approach is best suited to your needs and temperament, develop a possible time frame, reflecting on your preferred direction moving forward, so that you feel ultimately empowered to cope with the challenges you may face.
